Distracted

[Towering over ants.]

Look! A freshly mowed lawn. The weather is getting warmer and distractions are more distracting.

I spent some time this morning looking for children’s socks at M&S. I want to use them as protective sleeves for my iPod and digital camera, but they are not entirely appropriate. I wish children had more fragile parallelepiped feet. I should credit the original idea to Chris, who carried her camera in a Muji sock, although both Nigel and I have been known to carry cameras in woolen beanies. I have been using a baby-blue girl’s ankle sock I found in my laundry for my iPod, but it’s getting a bit tattered.

picture reminds me of ‘daddy long legs’.. a japanese anime i watched about 13 years ago!! *nodd* if you were in HK around 1990, then you’ll remember that ’seem deen tsuen tsan gey’ (lightning fax machine? someone who knows cantonese correct me here..) broadcasted this 48 episode long animation :) hehe..

check it out at http://users.powernet.co.uk/shoujo/tvdb/tvdb257.htm

orestes is my daddy long legs.. HEHEHE.. :P

On children’s feet, parallelepiped yes, fragile no. Fragile feet would hardly be suitable for a safe iPod cover.

“lightning fax machine” would almost be plausible, because the show was so unbelievably low budget and b-adlib. I remember it as “seem deen tsuen saw gei” - which would be “lightning space ship machine”. I think.

hehe.. apparently it used to be called “4 3 0 tsuen saw gei” cuz the program started at 4:30pm daily.. like before i returned to HK.. that’s probably how you remember it nige :) it’s now changed names many many times.. i dont even know what it’s called now!!

Raph, Orestes, Nigel and etc.. :P (ok, not etc, how about ‘and company’)

Just a random note, not sure if you’ve heard of this movie called “Ju-On” from Japan. I was recommended this horror movie from a Japanese friend, not surprisingly called “Saiko”. Here’s the link to the trailer:

A definite spine-chiller, enjoy! ;)

(Nigel: if you’re reading this, may I ask, how do you read the Japanese movie’s title in Chinese. Thanks!)

ack! I’ve been trying to get the trailer and the little blue kid out of my head for days!! “ju-on” in cantonese? hmmm ….

Yes, I totally understand. It’s extremely disturbing isn’t it? :P Gonna try and get the movie on CD from my friend. Want to watch it after elf and I are done with it? ;)

Most likely I will scare myself silly!! O_O
