I have been talking about starting capoeira for a couple of weeks now, culminating in a long discussion about it with Nigel yesterday morning. So it was a happy coincidence when I received a text from Teq yesterday afternoon inviting me to a capoeira and Brazilian music party that evening. The capoeirstas were from the Beribazu group who teach at the University of Bristol Capoeira Society and gave a truly spectacular show which was both intimidating and inspiring. Once term starts, with my PhD hopefully done, I will be joining the classes at the University of Bath.
