Architecture Radio

[You tell 'em, my pixelated friend!]

Davis Marques, whom I met at AID ‘00, and his team have finally launched Architecture Radio just today. Besides being based on the obviously worthwhile concept of open learning, their site is clean, crisp, and easy to navigate. Feel free to support this effort with content, donations, or purchases from their cafépress store.

Yesterday, in a barrage of press releases, Apple strengthened and extended their suite of pro applications, creating a very impressive presence in the world of video and digital motion picture production. High Definition video, as used in broadcast television in the US and in digital film production (see this Wired interview of director Robert Rodriguez), is on the cusp of becoming a standard format and getting cheaper to use by the minute. Now is one of those times when digital technologies are putting the means of production in the hands of the public, this time for professional-quality video and film. Apple is in the forefront of the change, with inspiring products that can revive Nigel’s interest in documentary production and make me consider dabbling with short films and motion graphics.
