So Apple today announced the 60GB iPod Photo, as foretold by every rumor site out there. Great. I want to talk about another product that Steve talked about in the course of today’s special event. About 11 minutes into his presentation, Steve introduces iPod Socks.

Now. It should be clear to all readers of fufurasu.org that somebody at Apple reads my blog, and specifically this entry from May 2003. Read it and come back. There are three things to note. One, the designers at Apple understand the simplicity and functionality required of an iPod case. Two, although it took them a year and a half, Apple has directly addressed my request for iPod socks, and that’s without the request being made directly to them. Three, Chris should be able to claim prior art on the sock-as-iPod-case patent.

As for myself, I would settle for a lifetime supply of iPod socks. Available mid-November for $29. Wash dark colours separately.
