So yes, I’m moving to London. I got the call from Apple and on the 11th of October (my birthday) I flew up to London for the interview. It all went well, I signed a contract, and just today I negotiated an agreement for a place to stay. In the meantime, life in London has been good, as illustrated above, in a typical moment from the night out on the occasion of my birthday, portions of which were hosted marvellously by Stella. Besides that, there have been dinners, drinks, galleries, bowling, Scrabble®, and a hen party; all delightful harbingers of a busy social future in London.
In parallel, while in London I have worked with Alice and Indy (of 00:/ [zer’o zer’o]) to propagate a research proposal (regarding a citizen-driven, bottom-up approach to sustainable development in cities) through to the final stage of a grant application. The project is interesting, the team is fun, and I’m feeling engaged again. I’ll have some extra part-time work with 00:/ if we get this grant.
I start work with Apple on the 5th of December. Before then I’ll pop down to Athens between the 23rd and 30th of November to pick up some more stuff and tie up some loose ends. Then, maybe I can start thinking about injecting some wit into my prose.

恭喜你 on your new website, but perhaps not best viewed by Internet Explorer?!… AND of course congrats on the new job with Apple…a step closer to meeting your guru!
I am happy for you that things are turning out, and soon we will all be visiting your shag pad in London, and drinking cocktails on your orange circular revolving bed… how very Austin Powers, baby… Oh Behave!
The rain falls mainly on the plain,
and plainly so it rains
on Orestes’ daily trek to work
beneath the silver British skies.
The cold may buffet
his illustrious mullet,
and yet his stylish specs reflect the shiny glory
of that hallowed, brushed-metal edifice
which Ive dreamed up and Jobs made real as fate
in Regent Street,
where the fat Yank tourists do perambulate.
glad to see you back.
I was going to let it all pass as poetic license, but the buffet-mullet rhyme is pretty tenuous, so that’s no excuse. So. What mullet?!
Kosta, nice to be back, and nice to know you’ve been checking!

Hey Gerry! Yes, I’m ecstatic to be in London. I’m not a frequent visitor to Belgium, so do let me know if you happen by.
