Mnemonic Device

It is known that I have a preoccupation with memory, and in particular the fact that my memory often fails me. This might well be related to my dependance on computers (see this article). So I bought myself a Palm, in order to further my reliance on extra-cranial devices. It is unbelievable how much more I get done with the benefit of an editable, sortable, categorized to-do list. I also use the datebook, but it doesn’t help as much. Oh, and it feels strangely satisfying, in a geeky sort of way, to compile and record assorted lists (favourite movies of all time, URLs to visit, band playlist) using the memo pad.
