The image is of nine randomly generated apartment blocks, produced using the current prototype of Shape Evolution. None of them are genetic-algorithm optimised yet, but they still look quite useful as initial concept diagrams.

I prepared the image for a presentation I gave today as part of a two-day workshop in anticipation of the Digital Tectonics conference on Saturday. It is an honour to see my name among those of Neil Leach, Chris Williams, David Turnbull, and visitors Spela Videcnik, Alisa Andrasek, and Marcelyn Gow. The discussion which followed the presentation was animated and exuberant. A good sign for the next couple of days and the more distant future for the school of Architecture at Bath.
