Last night I watched After Life, shown in the school as part of Thom’s and Sally’s third year programme. An excellent film, mostly by virtue of its story and concept. It suggested to me the idea of starting a memory book, a hard-copy collection of significant memories. Its being hard-copy rather than digital is important: it has to be seen without it having to be accessed. A file on a hard disk can lie there unnoticed until someone wills to retrieve it. A book on a shelf is more ubiquitous.
