Interesting observation: Personal idea shifts occur in an obscure two-step process. Firstly, the new idea lodges itself in one’s subconscious. Secondly, it manifests itself explicitly. However, this manifestation fails to appear apocalyptic. It seems that the new idea, no matter how radical a departure from previous notions it is, had always been there. Thus, the importance of new ideas is downplayed.
