Things That Are Pleasant

An overwhelmingly positive post about little pleasures experienced in the past few days. In a bullet-point list format for conciseness and impact. These sentences no verb.

  • Last Friday night’s fancy-dress party for Katerina’s birthday.
  • Lee sticking her pink-afroed head out of the car and shouting “hello, Kolonaki!” in Kolonaki square.
  • Spending more time in vibrant, multicultural downtown Athens, breathing in the urban aromas of freshly-sprayed graffiti, street-pissers, and high-heeled Nigerian working girls.
  • Bios has free wi-fi.
  • The Harajuku girliness of Gwen Stefani’s latest album.
  • Sitting in front of the TV just to watch anything that’s on and hearing the opening bars of a John Williams soundtrack (even if the movie turned out to be Home Alone 2: Lost in New York).
  • Substituting all my grooming products with selected items from the Korres Natural Products line, thus filling my bathroom with decent graphic design.
  • The tragically hilarious daftness of today’s youth, as evidenced from the comments on my entry about MTV’s “Pimp My Ride.”
  • Money in my pocket.
