Evolutionary Techniques in Book Editing

Somehow, it pleases me that Agnostica exists.

The great thing about having an Amazon wishilist (buy, buy!) is that you might occasionally receive stuff you want without expecting it. What is even better is for someone to throw in an item that clearly should have been on your wishlist. So I was ecstatic to receive Versioning: Evolutionary Techniques in Architecture, an issue of Architectural Design guest-edited by SHoP. However, my initial reaction was moderated when I realised that the word “evolutionary” as employed by the editors refers to this “new” trend of seeing architectural design as an iterative process. Aiyaaa! I shouldn’t complain; designers are notoriously sloppy where it comes to using words accurately and unambigously. Despite this mundane premise, only few of the articles are redundant, with the majority of the book being challenging and inspiring.

’twas I that thought to send you the copy of versioning. the majority of the book is the funky little picture and diagram. funky little pictures and diagrams are inspiring.
